Foxconn - triple decker bunks, chickens and 137,000 iPhones per day
Interesting article about Foxconn the company that was started with a $7500 loan and now employs over 800,000 people and produces 137,000 iPhones per day.
Beyond the grey vest...
I have always been slightly in awe of futures and experience videos produced by other design agencies, there is something seductively slick about this genre of future gazing.
However I have noticed that in a few instances and particularly in this short Blog piece about the future of screen technologies by Swedish group The Astonishing Tribe (TAT) that whilst undeniably slick, some of the propositions fail to ask ‘why’ and appear to fast forward to fast forward to the ‘when’ – the predictable sequence of the girl brushing her teeth and social networking in front of her wifi connected mirror is in my opinion one such example of a brainstorm that should not have made it off the Post-it.
