A library for the post print era'

Having watched Ideo's Future of the Book thought piece recently it was interesting to see threads popping up on LinkedIn Future Trends group about the same subject. 

Whilst I was initially dismissive, printed books are beautiful, tactile etc surely people are unlikely to switch to digital on a wholesale basis? Perhaps I'm wrong as the next link I get is this from Fastcode 'A library for the post print era'....
